Plymouth Attracts Young Professionals with Housing Development

In 2015, the North Central Indiana region won $42 million through the Regional Cities Initiative (RCI) to address population stagnation and improve quality of place. Today, Marshall County has officially begun construction on its first RCI funded project, the River Gate South apartment development. This project demonstrates the City of Plymouth’s commitment to growth by leveraging assets and partnering with the MCEDC and project developer, Scott Sivan on this transformative project. The development will provide vital workforce housing and help revitalize the downtown area.
Located in the heart of Plymouth along the Yellow River, this new housing development will consist of 3 buildings, containing 39 units of apartments and condos. The development has been awarded approximately $1.5 million in funding through the Regional Cities Initiative, fulfilling the RCI mission to improve regional quality of place and population growth. The City of Plymouth is also financially supporting the project as part of its efforts to stimulate the advancement of the community. River Gate South is expected to be completed and ready for tenants by October 2018.
