Made in Marshall County: Business Engagement with Students

A popular and unique workforce development event called “Made in Marshall County,” recently returned with more participating businesses than ever before. The 3rd annual event is an opportunity for businesses to showcase their good paying jobs and encourage students, especially those without established career paths, to stay in Marshall County.
This year, 30 businesses engaged with students from 7 schools to help them learn more about the variety of jobs and internships available in their own back yards. A recent survey of local businesses showed that there are approximately 300 currently open positions, with 800 more expected to be created. Made in Marshall County intends to fill that gap by providing students a vision for their futures.
