Stellar Fest Raises Support for Culver

To raise community awareness and support for their status as a finalist in Indiana's Stellar Communities Designation Program, the Town of Culver held a “Stellar Fest” on June 11th. Attendees were able celebrate with food, music, and family activities, as well as learn more about Culver’s application and take a tour of one of the proposed projects—a bike and pedestrian trail along Lake Maxinkuckee.

Stellar Communities is a planning program managed by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs designed to reward small communities that address issues related to population growth in rural communities. The Town of Culver was named a finalist in April, and their application includes projects that will create housing and raise the quality of life for Culver residents. The Town will be officially evaluated on July 21st, and as the “Stellar Fest” has made clear, Culver should receive high marks for its community pride and involvement.
