Marshall County Soon to Receive Regional Cities Funding

Several transformative Marshall County projects are one step closer to receiving funding through the Regional Cities Initiative (RCI). On August 1st, the Regional Development Authority (RDA) for North Central Indiana approved funding for 15 projects throughout the region, 5 of which were submitted from Marshall County. These projects will help achieve the goals of the RCI, by improving quality of place and attracting talented workers in a variety of ways. The Marshall County projects include:
  • A series of housing developments across the County
  • A Wellness and Life Enrichment Center, which will provide a new aquatic center and soccer complex
  • Construction of additional shell buildings,
  • Entrepreneurship Centers in Plymouth and Culver
  • A walking and biking trail along Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver

The RDA's recommendations on these projects have been supplied to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) for review and final approval prior to project funding. MCEDC would like to congratulate everyone involved with the planning of these projects. Together, we can make changes that will grow our economy and population, and showcase northern Indiana’s efforts on a national level.
