Indiana Ranked 14th as "Best State to do Business" by CNBC

Indiana is essentially holding steady on a prominent national list of best states to do business. It is 14th in this year's rankings compiled by CNBC, up one spot from last year. The business news network ranks Indiana 5th for business friendliness and 7th for cost of living, but 40th for quality of life. Other factors including work force, education and access to capital are also considered.

Indiana ranks highest among neighboring states with Ohio coming in 25th, Illinois 26th, Michigan 33rd and Kentucky tied for 36th.

Texas tops this year's list, followed by Utah and Virginia.
