Health Care & Quality of Life Initiative Leads to Capital Investment

Saint Joseph Health System’s Plymouth Medical Center completed its $9 million emergency care center expansion, with the goal of improving the care of patients and quality of life of Marshall County residents. This expansion is just one small component of the center’s impact in the community; the real value is its personnel.

Through this expansion, the Plymouth Medical Center staff will continue its tradition of excellence in enhancing health care in Marshall County. The new Daisy and John L. Oliver Emergency Center, has doubled its size from 6,000 sq. ft. to 12,000 sq. ft. and features upgrades to the private rooms and waiting areas. The number of rooms has expanded from 8 to 13 increasing operational efficiencies, patient safety and privacy. The expansion also adds mental health facilities, on-site prescription services, mobile equipment, and x-ray/imaging equipment.
