Culver Earns Stellar Designation

In 2016, the Town of Culver was recognized for its impressive planning efforts by being named a finalist in the Stellar Communities Designation Program. That year, Culver narrowly missed winning official designation, which pushed the town to develop an even better application for 2017. Now after two years of hard work, Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch has announced that the Town of Culver was awarded Stellar Designation.

The Stellar Program is a multi-agency partnership designed to recognize Indiana's smaller communities that have identified comprehensive community and economic development projects, as well as next steps and key partnerships. Winning Stellar will give Culver access to state resources and funding that will support the projects outlined in their Stellar Improvement Plan. These include the Sand Hill Farm housing development, the Lake Maxinkuckee Walking and Biking Trail, the Culver Beach Lodge, and more. Congratulations to Culver on this “stellar” achievement.
